Sourcing and cutting
Rough diamonds arrive with their Kimberley Process certificate and are split, cut and polished – each stone with its own serial number from the first day.
Certification
Every polished stone is graded by GIA. The report number can be checked by anyone on gia.edu and is stored with the stone.
Safekeeping
Finished stones rest in the vault at the DMCC in Dubai – locker by locker, traceable from the rough stone to the certificate.
